Sugar and Spice

Anyone who's known me for very long knows that I love my son and boys in general. I seem to relate to boys better than girls and I feel like it's always been that way. So, I have always thought that all boys would be perfect for me. Nate has been so much fun so I've been totally blown away with my niece, Maggie. She's made me rethink the all boys idea I had. She's so much fun and so mellow. She's always so happy and only cries when she needs something. I have to admit that she's been much lower maintenance than Nate was at her age. Nate was so much more destructive and loud. Maggie is very talkative and interactive but she's not leaving trials of destruction behind her. It's nice to have her around to play with Nate, too and they love each other. They always go into Nate's room and shut the door and talk and play. It's their private time to talk about me. :) Anyway, I'm thinking now that girls are just as cool as boys and it wouldn't be so bad to have a girl in our family. I always worry about the drama of adolescence and puberty with girls but I'm thinking I could survive that as long as I could dress her up as cute as Maggie. Seriously, girls have such cute clothes. Nate is fun to dress up, too, but girls have so much more variety. Check out all these cute little outfits that Maggie's been wearing. I've never seen her wear the same thing twice and she just melts my heart with her cuteness.I've never seen or heard of Baby Legs until I started watching Maggie. They are these sweater thick leg warmers. Maggie has something like 4 pairs and they are a crack up. She has the chubbiest legs I've ever seen so they don't come all the way up because they won't go further than mid-thigh. Aren't they sweet?
Maggie has so many cute little dresses but I love this skirt because she gets to wear her sparkly silver shoes with them. My sister said she had red ones, too but she's grown out of them. I want some shoes like that!
Is there anything cuter than overalls on little kids? Nope, there's not unless they are paired with ruffle buns tights.

This outfit is so cute with her little leggings but I posted this pic because of the gummy lizard in her mouth. She always crawls or walks with the head in her mouth. So funny, yet very interesting. When she's at her house her dad says she has an army guy she does the same thing to. Maybe she's pretending she's Godzilla or something...

Nate loves Mags. I couldn't hope for them to get along better. This is Maggie in her Boise State Bronco outfit. Her socks have the Bronco emblem on them. Check out the silver Reeboks. I didn't even know that you could buy silver baby Reeboks. You can kinda see her legs in this picture. She still doesn't have wrists, ankles or knees and she turns one in 4 days! Chubby kids are the cutest! Anyway, I know that Maggie isn't mine but I have to share her because she's so cute! I am actually a little jealous of you all who have adorable girls. They have such sweet spirits and they are so special.
