We must be doing something right
For the last few days Nate's had a really high temperature and he's been less than himself. The nights are especially tough because he wakes up really hot and uncomfortable. I wish there was more for you to do other than give fever reducers and push liquids. It just doesn't work fast enough. Anyway, last night Nate woke up screaming for his dad at about 4:25. I didn't even hear the screaming until Robert opened our door and started down the hall for Nate's room. He sounded really upset and didn't stop as soon as Robert got to his room so I got up hoping that I could help. When I got to the door I looked in and saw Robert kneeling next to Nate's bed and Nate had just started to say a prayer. It's so sweet to hear their little voices praying the their Father in Heaven. I loved seeing the two of them praying together. After Nate said "Amen", Robert and I walked back to our room together and I asked him what happened. Robert just said, "Nate said he got scared and then asked me if he could say a prayer." I was so touched that that was the first thing that Nate needed for himself in his time of distress.

That is so sweet! He has already learned who to turn to when he needs help. What awesome parents you guys are!
That is the sweetest thing! Kids are so great..and pure...I think we all could learn a little lesson from them..at least I know I could. Hope he's feeling better.
Children are always the closest to Heavenly Father!! I bet that's a great feeling to know that your son is keeping that connection with Heavenly Father even now. (Remember, he probably learned it from watching you and your hubby too!) I hope he gets well soon!
Erin, that is so sweet! You are great parents, and great examples! Your little boy is truly blessed to have you both as his parents! I hope he gets better soon, I hate when they are sick!!! It is so sad.
Adorable! I am pretty sure I taught him that when I had him in nursery. Duh!
Such a great story and sweet memory for you. It always surprises me how much sinks in when you're trying to teach them correct principles. You ARE doing something right!
