Astros Night

Not long before summer break Nate's school, Parker Elementary, had Astros night. We just had to tell them how many tickets and we were able to go to the game as a family. It was double awesome because the game was on Monday. Easy FHE. Yay!
Of course, Nate's been to lots of baseball games with his dad, but he was still excited.
We didn't expect great seats, and we were right.  We had quite a hike up to the top of the stadium.  It's so steep up there that I was paranoid Scarlett would fall and hurt herself all night.  The girl has no concept of danger.
We were so happy to see Nate's best friend, Sevy, when we got there.  I think it made the night so much better for Nate.  She's such a cute, sweet girl.  She moved away over the summer and Nate was really bummed.  She was a great little friend for him.  In fact, the two of them were teased about being girlfriend/boyfriend all year.  Both adamantly deny which makes both sets of parents pretty happy.  :)
Scarlett loved the atmosphere and cheering for the Astros.
Another friend from class, Katherine, showed up and the three kids had a great time together.
Robert with Scarlett.

Family pic before we left.  The Astros were actually winning, and doing it soundly, so we thought we'd try and get the kids to bed at their normal bedtime.  It was a school night after all.
The walk back to the car was fun.  Everyone was in a really good mood.  The kids had a blast at the game with friends and family and Robert got to go to a baseball game.  Best night ever!
Robert is such a good dad.  He's really involved and loves to spend time with the kids.  After family outings he always tells me how much he enjoyed himself.
Do you think Scarlett had a good time?  She's do it all again and again.
