Nate's Birthday: The Big Number 8!!

Nate turned 8 this year.  He was really excited about this one because he would be getting baptized and he would finally get to be a Cub Scout!!  I just cannot believe our little boy is 8 and old enough to get baptized!

For his birthday dinner we told Nate we would go to any restaurant he wanted.  His response: "Red Robin.....YUMMMMM!"  Lucky for us, there was a Red Robin (by Katy) that we were able to get to (during rush hour traffic).  Despite the drive and traffic, it was worth it!

Nate was really excited for his presents.  But, the most exciting was when he got to open all the stuff he would need for Cub Scouts!  Thanks Great Aunt Diane (who works for BSA and hooked us up)!

The great staff at Red Robin also brought Nate a giant ice cream sundae and sang him "Happy Birthday".  The kid was in heaven.

Nate is all ready for his first day of Cub Scouts.  Robert has been the Boy Scout's Scoutmaster for the past 4 years.  During this time, Nate would watch his dad go to scouts every week, and Nate could not wait to go with him.  It was a fun night to see my two Scouts together!
