This year, Robert's parents were in town for Halloween. We thought it would be fun to make grandpa dress up with us, so we asked Nate what he wanted to be for Halloween--and to include his dad and grandpa in the idea (Scarlett was intent on being Tinkerbell and there was no talking her out of it). He came up with Alvin and the Chipmunks! Robert and his dad were good sports, especially when Nate ditched them to go be with his friends during the trunk-or-treat. Without Alvin, no one could figure out who Robert and his dad were. Poor Theodore and Simon.
I thought their costumes were pretty good...
Tails and all!!
The kids of course got waaaaay more candy than they needed, even after paying the parental tax.
We also decided to go to Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo. Nate decided to be a cowboy since his dad and grandpa were not going and he did not want to be Alvin without the Chipmunks.
The kids had a great time playing games and decorating mini-pumpkins. And yes, that is sweat pouring down our kids' faces. Nothing like celebrating Halloween in mid-80 degrees with humidity!
